The International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour was this year’s host to one of the most exciting Trade Shows in Australia – Fine Foods Australia. For a total of 4 days, Fine Foods was home too over 1,000 exhibiting brands that was located across 2 floors with mouth-watering food/beverages, general and speciality food equipment, packaging and everything else that you can possibly associate with hospitality and/or food.

The team here at PAC Trading were all hands-on deck prior to the official opening day of the show, with staff working tirelessly on the Saturday and Sunday to set up our 12 x 3m stand. With flooring, skirting, lighting, wooden display boxes, banner structure and glass display cases to all be individually screwed in and/or together on Saturday proved to be a real test for our team who needed this to be completed by Sunday morning. Although, working together made this goal possible, and on Sunday our team returned to a clean ‘shell’ of a stand, to start displaying our extensive range of products.

Monday the 11th of September marked the first day of the Trade Show. Team members: Charlie, Graham, Stephen, Anthony, Jamie, Kimberly and Ronna all waited for the doors to open at 10am for the public to enter. At 10am, our team were unknowingly surprised with a stampede of an endless number of visitors to our stand.

To have people from not only all over the state, but the country come to visit our stand and compliment us on our unique packaging designs and solutions was overwhelming. The ‘New Product Display’ was an eye-catching feature within our stand, that drew a lot of attention from the public. With our various new products and prototypes being displayed, we had a high amount of interest from the public with many quite eager and excited for either the products on its way to Head Office, or even the prototypes being perfected and finalized for manufacturing. These new products must be noted, and the following were the products that brought such high interest:

Bamboo Paper Cold Milkshake Cups, Bamboo Paper Ice Cream Cups, PLA Coated Salad Bowls, Corrugated Takeaway Boxes (Including a High Burger Box & High Large Snack Box, Takeaway Cardboard Trays, Sugarcane Square Plates w/ PET Lids, Café Style Takeaway Cake Boxes and finally Wooden Bamboo Steamers.

Everyone here at PAC Trading would like to thank all those who were apart of this trade show who assisted in making this not only a successful show, but also a memorable one.

We would also like to thank the International Convention Centre for being host to such a successful event, as well as Fine Foods Australia for having us. We are all so excited for next year’s show which will be hosted in both Brisbane and Melbourne for the year 2018.
